OkCupid Number - One Number, One Account
OkCupid now requires a phone number on every account and sends a code to it by text. Its help center says landlines, some internet-based phone services and some texting apps cannot be verified, and that one number can be verified on only one OkCupid account at a time. A one-time number receives the signup code and is deleted about ten minutes later, which gets the account verified and nothing more. OkCupid also lets you log in with the phone number, so if you may need a code again, a permanent number is the one still there.

Codes go where you are
Every incoming SMS to a permanent number is forwarded automatically to the destination you choose. A one-time number shows its code in your dashboard instead.
Call forwarding is a different number type: a voice number takes incoming calls and passes them to the destination you choose. Voice numbers in the dashboard
Why use a virtual number for OkCupid
OkCupid asks for a phone number to keep accounts secure, and it sends a verification code by text message to it. An OkCupid virtual number puts that code in your Freeje dashboard, so you can sign up without handing your own number to a dating app. A one-time number covers the sign-up. If you plan to keep the profile and log in again later, a permanent number is the better fit.
Which country to choose for OkCupid
A number from the country where you will use OkCupid is a sensible pick if it appears in the table. The table opens with Brazil, the United Kingdom and the European countries, then lists the rest, lowest one-time price first. OkCupid's help says landlines, some internet-based phone services and some texting apps cannot be verified, and we cannot promise that a particular number will be accepted. If the code never arrives, the refund policy applies. Permanent numbers exist in part of the list only.
