AML / KYC Policy

1. What this policy is about

AML and KYC stand for "Anti-Money Laundering" and "Know Your Customer" - the checks that keep phone services from being used for crime. This page explains in plain words how Freeje.com (operated by Beta company sp. z o.o., REGON 146444560) runs those checks: when we verify who our clients are, and how we watch for misuse of our virtual numbers, SMS and voice services.

The policy applies to everyone who uses Freeje, and it follows the EU Anti-Money Laundering Directives (AMLD) and the anti-money-laundering laws of Poland, where the company is registered.

2. What our numbers must never be used for

The rule is simple: anything illegal is off-limits. That covers fraud and scams of any kind, money laundering, financing terrorism, spam, copyright infringement, and any other unlawful activity. If a scheme needs a phone number to deceive someone, it won't be one of ours - the same commitment you accept in our Terms of Service.

3. When and how we verify identity

Most of our numbers work without any paperwork. Some numbers and countries, however, do require documents - they are marked in the "Documents" column on the country pages. For those, before or during activation we will ask for some or all of the following: a government-issued ID or passport, a selfie with that document in hand, and a proof of address such as a utility bill.

Verification is not always a one-time step. If the way an account is used raises questions, we may ask for documents again at any point - even long after registration. Until the requested documents arrive, the affected service may be paused.

Two things worth knowing upfront: we may decline to activate or connect a number without giving a reason, and in some cases we may ask for a short video call to confirm that the account really belongs to you.

4. How we watch for fraud

Freeje runs its own fraud-monitoring system. It looks for suspicious account activity, unusual usage patterns and attempts to slip past verification. Trying to trick or bypass these checks is itself a violation of this policy and our Terms of Service, and can get an account suspended immediately.

5. When we can block a number or an account

If we suspect fraud, illegal activity or a violation of this policy, we can suspend the specific number or service involved - or, in serious cases, disable the whole account. We can do this without prior notice, and payments already made are not refunded in these situations. It is a strict rule, but it is what keeps our numbers clean and trusted by the services people verify with.

6. Changes to this policy

Laws, services and risks change, so this policy will occasionally change too - the current version is always the one published on this page. If you continue using Freeje after an update, that counts as accepting the new version, so check back here from time to time.
